Question About 24p Real-Time Preview.
Hi,
I was recently able to check out the Canon XL2 and XH-A1 at my local Fry's, and I'm a little confused about something. I noticed, on both the XL2 and the XH-A1, that 24p looks about 5 or ten frames slower when just looking through the viewfinder (I wasn't recording or playing back, I was just looking around w/ the cams). The output on the preview television did not move anything like the preview through the viewfinder. Is that normal for these models? Thanks, Alex |

Hey Alex,
The only time that I have noticed a lag in preview is when I have been previewing via firewire (when I'm capturing direct to my laptop). When I am using component/composite previewing with my on-cam monitor or external tele I do not notice any lag. Ryan |
