What's a really good head cleaner for XL2?
I was wondering what most people use to clean the heads on an XL2, and how frequent, and for how long...?

I have a JVC cassette head cleaner, but since when i got the XL2 (january 2007) i used only one or two times. Just stick to one brand of cassette (i use the panasonic DVC series). Try to do not use another brand; even if you work for someone else (i know that sometimes is difficult)...
How long... the instrutions in my cleaning cassette says 10 second. |

Panasonic tapes, panasonic head cleaner.
I order both at Zotz Digital. In the past, with other cameras, I've only cleaned the heads once I noticed any degredation in what's recording. I mostly do production work with the cams, though; so I have the luxury of multiple takes, going back and seeing what's been shot, etc. Anyone else have a different schedule, i.e. cleaning heads periodically as a precaution? |
