Pre set focus / zoom feature
Is there a facility to activate the preset focus and Zoom feature on the XL2 via remote control? The problem I have is that as soon as I press the buttons on the lens, the camera moves slightly on the tripod. To get the best effect, I find I am using the lens near to its maximun zoom, so any slight movement is amplified on the screen.

I feel your pain but currently there is no way to trigger these functions remotely.
Which makes them all but useless, I know. |

Interesting. I've wondered if anybody uses that feature.

I've used it from time to time. It tends to work better when starting with a fairly short focal length, so any shake doesn't show us much. The zoom feature can work well as long as you set your in point in the edit after the zoom has started.
