Same result in both XL2 and XL1s
So here is the next problem:
When I shoot that film I was talking about in my previous threat, my friend is shooting with my other camera, the XL1s. Does someone have a tip how to get the settings in the XL1s, so the results of the two camera's are not thát different. In the XL2 custom settings will be most of the time "Low Light Low Noise"" Gamma = 1 Knee = 1 Black = 2 NR = 2 VDetail = 0 Color Matrix = 1 Color Gain = 2 Color Phase = 1 Red = 0 Green = 0 Blue = 0 SetupLevel = -3 Sharpness = -3 Coring = 3 MasterPed = -3 As I can not get these settings in the XL1s, what would be the closesed thing to do? Or is it not a good idea do try this anyway, as the final results will be too different anyway? Thijo |

You will have to match the XL2 to the XL1s.
Do a search here and you should be able to find those presets to make the XL2 look like and XL1s. |

Hi Jay,
Just what I expected, make the XL2 look like the XL1s. Doesn't work the other way around. Pitty, I liked the setting of "Low Light Low Noise" for the biggest part of our film. But as I already expected, we have to let that go, and find the right setting in the XL1s, and adapt the XL2 to that. Thanks, Jay, now I know I don't have to look any further. (Or get a second XL2, someone whants to sponsor?) Just kidding, don't even respond on this. Thijo |
