Trade compensation for XL1s to XL2

Hey all,

I'm looking to trade my XL1s for an XL2, and I'm trying to come up with a good compensation price I can pay when someone offers to trade. I'm trying to start my production company and I don't have enough money to go buy an XL2 flat-out while keeping the XL1s. What would be a sensible price to compensate? I have an XL1s plus standard accessories, 2 pc. filter kit, large battery, and case, all really fantastic condition.

Thanks,
-Alex

My suggestion would be for you to look on ebay. You will have there a pretty good idea on how much people are willing to pay for both an XL1s and an XL2.

Good luck !

Hey Alex,

My suggestion would be to sell the XL1S and then purchase an XL2 with the money that you receive from the sale. I believe that it will be more difficult to "trade" for an XL2.

That's what I wanted to do at first, the only problem is I could have some projects in between, and I can't afford to have any time where I'm cameraless. It's the only one I have. Otherwise, I would've been trying to sell it already. Thanks for the suggestion, though, it would be MUCH easier that way. This way is hard... haha.

Looking at ebay, the XL1s was on average about $2,000 (w/ case+xtras). The XL2 runs in the neighborhood of $2,750 (w/case) I was thinking $750 in compensation. Sound good?
