Microphone Screen
I received my A1 about a week ago. It wasn't till the last few days that I was able to mess around with it. Now I reall haven't shot with the camera yet just I have been reading the manual and becoming familiar with the menu system. Today I saw that some of the paint on the microphone screen had some how came off. I have not dropped or rubbed this camera against anything...My question is this something normal? If so, how do you to corret it. I am thinking of perhaps exchanging the camera.

Richard,
Hello from a neighbor. I live in Orlando as well (actually Longwood, but close enough). I scratched my mic screen the day I received my A1 and even though it wasn't a big deal I was pretty bummed. :( I grabbed a black permanent marker and touched it up. Looks great! Not sure if yours is too scratched up for this to work but on mine... You can't even tell where I scratched it. :) Stacy |

Stacey,
Hey there neighbor....Yea my boss lives in that side of town! I guess I could try doing the magic marker thing. I knew about the play the microphone has, just didn't know that the mic screen was prone to the paint falling/peeling. I have been the only one handling the camera and have been doing so very careful. -Richie |
