Captureing from A1 problem - one frame from previous scene

Has anybody seen the following problem:
When captureing with downconvert HD->DV on camera in Ulead mediastudio 8, every scene starts with 1 frame ( the last one ) of the previous scene.
This way i have to trim every scene by that 1 frame.

Kind regards and thanks in advance for replying.

Hi Rene. I've seen a similar effect capturing with Vegas, in fact it's more than one frame. Edius seems to work OK though. You could also try downloading HDVSplit (it's free) which splits the takes cleanly.

Scenalyzer does the same thing except it's more than one frame. It is a few frames. Very annoying. Makes it hard sometimes to tell what is in a clip based on the thumbnail.

Rene,

Yes, I have seen the exact same issue with MSP8. I no longer use MSP8 to capture from my XH A1. I now use HDVSplit to capture .m2t files. They can be imported or converted.
