Bag with Drawstring for XH-A1 ???
I need a slightly padded, lightweight bag (like the type that might have a drawstring) for carrying an XH-A1 inside a lightweight carry-on bag that is not made for cameras.
I am looking for something that offers the kind of protection you might get from the small bubble bubble wrap. Does anyone make bags like this? Of course, I could use bubble wrap, but a bag would be more convenient. |

Maybe bag plus bubble wrap
I bought a waterproof bag from West Marine in Houston.
Dry Sack...8 liters or 18 in by 11 diameter. It has no padding so that might be were adding some bubble wrap might come in. Otherwise go to Ross and buy a back pack for a good price...some of them do have a little padding. |

Jack, I use a Crumpler Zoomiverse XL to take my XHA1. It fits snugly into the main compartment and is very well protected. There is enough room for a spare battery, tapes and the lense hood (removed from the camera). Apart from that there isn't a lot more space for anything else unfortunately, but for a bag that not only protects your investment extremely well from knocks and bumps, and also, most importantly, looks like a normal rucksack, I cannot reccommend anything more highly.
Edit- Just realised you're looking for a bag to use inside another bag. In which case the Crumpler may still be of interest- take a look anyhow! Last edited by Joe Rizzo-Naudi; July 5th, 2007 at 05:52 PM. Reason: additional information |

Check some Dollar stores or WalMart in the food/ housewares section. There are padded nylon bags in various sizes used for lunches & camping. I find them useful for camera or accessories.
You could also try a rectangular tupperware type container that fits the A1, line it with a layer of foam and put it in your bag. I did this with a sports bag. |
