Want to buy A1 - should I replace my VX2100?
I am in the market for a new cam and like the XH-A1. I have a Sony VX-2100 and several reasons to upgrade are apparent.
To those who have the camera - is it good enough to replace my VX-2100? Thanks Jim |

Replacing VX2100 with A1
Jim,
It is good enough and better in many ways BUT, as many have said it does not match the low light capabilities of your VX2100. I sold both my VX2000's for this camera and am very happy. The native 16x9 and HD far outweigh the loss of some low light capability. I use it for weddings and produced my first wedding with it last month (after 5 years of the VX2000's). The results have been fantastic. There's still a learning curve I need to overcome, but I am very happy and feel this camera is much more versatile then the Sony's. The Sony's have good resale. I got around $1400 for each on eBay. So, in my blabbering, my point is I feel it is a worthy replacement. Brad |

Brad,
Thanks for your input. I guess the low light capabilities were an issue, but the benefits of the A1 seem to outweigh this. Looking forward to using it for my first wedding. Jim |
