How do I reduce mic sensitivity?
Hi:
I have currently only the built in mic on the XH A1, how can I reduce sencitivity? Problem is that I will be recording in a very noisy environment, noise/signal will be the same, but last time I tried sound was awful because of too loud recording level. I have found that I can increase it in the audio setup. Thanks, Erik |

Attenuation
did you try switching the Mic. ATT button below the LCD display. Att stands for Attenuation -- is the reduction in amplitude and intensity of a signal

You also can go manual with the levels, and there is a wind noise reduction option in the menu
but you'd probably still have the ATT on regardless Trish |

For very high sound level venues, you have to enable MIC ATT, otherwise the input preamps will saturate/clip, even if you adjust the audio level controls or use AGC mode.
