No seriously, the barest brush of the camcorder anywhere is picked up by the bloody thing it's infuriating!

Someone earlier suggested performing a 'low cut' in post production but I don't know how to do that. I'm sure I've got the tools, I have Adobe production studio with Audition etc...

Simple. Apply a High Pass filter, and cut it at, say 100 Hz to remove any frequencies below 100 Hz. Other packages would call it a Low Cut filter - same thing.

Also be aware that mic cables can transmit sound! Not all cables are created equal. Get a short one with a 90 degree connector at the mic end and soft flexible shielding. I swapped mine out years ago because it was tramsmitting to much sound to the mic even with a good shock mount.
