A1 and Manfrotto Remote

FYI I played today with the Manfrotto remote I have for my XL2 (just for curiosity) and it works most of the function with the HX-A1. All except turn on/off display, and Search in/out Rec. Actually two functions I never used by remote. You do can turn on/off, start/stop rec, Zoom in/out and focus +/- . Not bad.

I need to double check tomorrow but I think is this one:

It's a great tool for the XL2.
I believe you want to wait a bit, I heard Manfrotto is comming out with a new version for newer cams. Remember that this model does not control all functions.

Verified! The model I have is 522c not the one of the link. Also the Focus Manual/Auto does not respond by remote with A1 (no big deal for me). I couldn't find it at BH, maybe its discontinued already and the new version works well.

I'll also be buying a newer one for the A1, in the meantime I'll stick with this one.

There is another forum dealing with these questions, Remote Lens Controllers. The LANC controllers for the A1 have already been discussed there, in particular in this post.

Oops Sorry when I did my search I didn't noticed I had settings to be sorted by last 2 weeks, No wonder I just saw only 3 posts there.

You can close this one if you feel to.
