Custom Preset shenanigans

Is it me, or does anyone else find the workflow with tweaking custom presets a bit counterproductive?

As it stands, to tweak a CP saved to camera, it's a simple menu matter.

To tweak a CP saved on an SD card, you either have to import it to one of the 9 selections in the camera then tweak & save, OR use a card reader on a computer & use one of the two programs mentioned here in the forum.

It makes no sense to me at all why card CP's can't be adjusted like they can with the cam's CP's.

End of mini-rant :)

If I remeber correctly, you can tweak the memory-stick CP's just like the camera-stored ones, in the menu.

Piotr, it only gives you the option to "edit" the 9 presets saved in cam. When asking to chose a CP, it just cycles through those 9, no card CP's.

Going "card>cam" the only options are to select which CP on the card to import, and also which of the 9 positions in the camera's memory to save it to. It only SHOWS the settings... they can't be tweaked.

It's monkey biz :D

Page 79 of the Manual - on the left side of the menu screen, you have the option to load a cp from the card and then edit it the normal way.

I know that. That's my point. Read my original post :) How hard would it have been for the Canon design team to implement accessing & tweaking CP's on the SD card without having to import it first?

To me, it's the "abnormal" way :D

We can't have everything I suppose :-\

OK, now I get your point - but frankly, it a minor "nuissance" IMHO:)
