SD Video for Preview
I recently took my laptop with DV Rack HD loaded on a shoot and found it to be somewhat cumbersome.
I was using it mainly the LCD to check focus and an occasion framing of the shot. I was looking at portable DVD players, that are standard def, and most have a composite input. I believe the A1 will output a composite preview in SD while shooting in HD. Has anyone used a portable DVD player or other LCD device that is STD def in the 8-9 inch range? If so, would be interested in your opinions. thanks in advance. |

Yes! I use an Apex DVD player on occasion with decent results.
You get a nice long batt life as opposed to a laptop. Varizoom makes some decent, cheap monitors for SD too, that will also display the HD image and PAL video too. |

I presume the DVD LCD is hard to see outside in bright light. Anyone know which brands/models have the brightest lcd's?
