sony hvr-1500 or sony hvr-m10u play canon hdv tapes
does anybody know if the sony hvr-1500 or sony m10u play canon recorded hdv tapes from the xh g1 or xl h1?
please respond asap torrey

I know for sure they will not play Canon HDV tapes recorded at 24 or 30F. I think they will play 60i HDV, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

That was confirmed to me by a Sony tech a couple of months ago. The "F" and "P" are different languages and the Sony recorders read "P", according to Sony.
