Using XHA1 for Commercials
Hi guys,
Help me here, which setting you guys suggest me to use for TV Commercials? 24F or 30F? Spped shutter? I'll be using a lot of pan and fast zooming both indoors and out doors. Thanks Matthew |

OK, no one else seems to have replied, so I'll jump in here.
Your question is pretty broad. What kind of a look are you after? When you're panning and zooming away, will you be bothered by a steppy, juddery look to your video, or is that what you're after? I'd suggest taking the time to shoot some tests before going on that commercial gig, varying one parameter at a time, and then carefully studying the results. The good news is you've got enough options built in to this camera to get the results you want. The bad news is, you've got to spend some time with the controls to know what to use and when. And it's difficult for someone who doesn't know what you're after to give you solid advice. Probably not the answer you were looking for, but it's the best I can do given the limited amount of information in your post. Detailed questions get detailed responses, or at least that's been my experience on other forums. Or maybe I'm just a grumpy old guy, and someone else can do a better job of reading your intent. By the way, I'm saying that with a smile. |
