Capturing DV from Sony Z1 and Sony A1
Hi! A couple of months ago I filmed a poker tournament with 2 Sony Z1 and 3 Sony A1. No problems while filming.
Now I've bought a Canon A1, and I wanted to capture the Sony-material with it. BUT, when i start recording (I use Premiere Pro 2.0) the preview jumps between 4:3 and 16:9 (Filmed in 16:9 and the camera is set to DV16:9), the sound is very bad and theres a lot of pixel errors, frameloss and the image is generally messes up. Tried many tapes from all cameras. Any clues to why this happens? Some basic setting I've overseen? |

It's probably a problem with the head alignment being different between the Sonys and the Canon. You could try capturing using another camcorder (even a cheap consumer camcorder, since it's DV).

Ok, thanks for the tip. Gonna try using a DV-player tomorrow.
