A1 at warp speed...
I shot this the other day with the A1 and the WA adapter to see if I could get something that looked like the equivalent of 2 fps undercrank. I'm pretty happy with the results.
http://media.dvinfo.net/canonxh/A1warpspeed.mov (122 MB QT h.264) Shot 24F,1/3 shutter, sped up 1200% in FCP. There should be a grab attached. Just for fun :) |

Awesome stuff, very hypnotic. What was the song and the band?

It's David Bowie and I think Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) produced it.

Cool stuff. I thought I recognized downtown SLC.
On the other hand, it kinda reminds me of my commute. Only a bit more hectic. :) |

Very nice work on this clip. The A1's ability to deal with CCD vertical light streaking is actually pretty impressive.

Wow, that's brilliant! Now I am definitely convinced I need to get myself an A1.

Great work - thanks Barlow!
It's amazing what can be done without actual over/undercrank functions. Maybe it's because in most cases we are interested in extremes: 60 fps or very slow. As you have shown before, slow-mo generated from 60i looks beautiful also. |

Nice detail too. I was curious to find out what city in the US it was shot in. So I paused the tape and checked one of the car's number plates. Utah, cool. Doubt that would be possible to see if it was shot with an SD cam.
Barlow, is your XL H1 slow motion footage still available? I tried the link but it didn't work. |

Thanks, I must have missed that one. Looks good! Did you increase the shutter speed to 120 for that one?

I like that speed because the result can look smooth and natural. |
