Iv bin looking into the manuals on the A1 and the JVC HD100 and found that the black level is adjustable from stretch1 to 3 then normal then compress 1 to 3.

Has adjustable WHITE CLIP.

The KNEE level is adjustable from 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, and 100%,

A SKIN COLOR RANGE from-9 to 0 to +9.

I know by looking at the A1 manual that it also has some of these features but not the extent at which the HD100 has.

So to those who have used both cameras, dos the effect of those settings alter the image of the HD100 to the extent ware you get more out of the image with regard to the mentioned settings.
