Accessory: Windtech Mic-Muff Microphone Windshield MM-23
The Windtech Mic-Muff Microphone Windshield MM-23 fits perfectly over the A1's onboard mic.

I used a wind tech foam wind screen on my GL2--same thing with the fit. I trimmed it a hair with a scissor and it solved all the wind noise and the internal mic.

I assume you just leave the 'audio recording mode' setting to 'normal' when using the windsock - correct? (versus using the 'wind screen' setting)

That's correct, the Windtech replaces the in-camera "wind screen" function. I suppose in extreme wind conditions, you may find an occasion to use them both at the same.
