More tests
I was thinking to have had one of my best intuition to switch to this camera, since I was buying two Sony HVR-V1 and because of their delay, speaking with the man who was selling me the video stuff, I realized what the XH A1 could do for me...
And I am very satisfied of their compact size and their full options and versatility. I took also a wide angle (Panasonic 0.8x), and you can see it in test 02, it seems wonderful but I need to find a larger light cover since I noticed highlights. Also I used to edit video, not to shot it, but, many times happened to me to have bad shots to edit, then loan stuff to make what I needed and better.. now I can do myself ANYTHING. Well I will have to better setup the bodice (bought used) for the glidecam because it is a little bit more oblique than expected.. I had not much time to use the new cameras, but I would like to show and share my impressions and tests. I took the presets at this site and used CP 18 that I prefer at the moment. You can see some of my PAL tests here: http://stefanofolgaria.it/test/ Have fun! Ciao

Ciao Stefano,
you're so lucky you have two A1!!! I wish I had them too for my next feature. I tried to take a look at your material but there's no chance to enter into that page... Just wanted to tell you. See you soon!! |

Wow, great stuff, really gorgeous.
Questions - how do the blacks look on an hd monitor? When you shot, did you use the lcd & viewfinder, or an on-cam monitor? Any cc? Thanks for posting. |

Just the on-cam monitor (still waiting for the HD external monitor) and Color Preset 18 taken here; in FCP a color correction busing automatic level that darkened a very little. :-) ciao
