I liked it. Great beginning, the walking shot spliced with interior scenes. Some of the shots were a little too quick and I wanted to see the bikes! That monster bike at around the 2.20 mark was, well, a monster. Also, a nice trick with the credits superimposed on the tire.

Monkey's and Lions.......... XH-A1 TEST.. Panalook
This is my very first attempt with the amazing Canon XH-A1. I love my HV30, but this is in a different league.
This is footage taken at the RSPB Nature Reserve in Dungeness and at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent. I particularly love the female Baboon who nakes bubbles and rolls them on her offsprings head! The wonderful Barbary lions have been extinct in the wild since 1922 and there are only around 40 in captivity in Europe. It is to be hoped that the Barbary Lion Project reaches success with its eventual aim to re-introduce them back into the wilds of Africa. I have shot this using the PANALOOK preset, which I like in this instance, (gratitude and respect to its creator, Steven Dempsey). Other than that, there is NO colour correction or after effects. Shot in 25fps with a locked shutter of 1/50th. Monkey's and Lions.......... XH-A1 TEST.. Panalook on Vimeo |

Nice clear footage. Great lighting, and I think from what I've heard that it's better not to color correct as it degrades the HDV.

Black Tusk - Stoner Metal with PFvision
Hey Guys,
This is something we shot back in January with 2 A1s an HV20 and a VX2100 as the wide shot. This club was DARK and the only lights were their floor green lights which they triggered by pedal. This had to be shot SD unfotunately because of the need to go directly to the editor who couldn't edit HD. So without further ado... Black Tusk at the New Brookland Tavern. DARK. I hate when that happens, and now I've done it.
Sorry, but I fixed it. |

I see a few things....
Videocopilot's Twitch plugin used to good effect. Mabey a little heavy handed with it though. No mic cable in the mics.....ummmm kinda breaks the suspension of disbelief. Sync seems out... It's a pretty solid video, how old are these kids? (oops I see above between 13-18) Are they the next Silverchair?

I shot this about a month ago for a Province wide University/College Dance competition. They wanted a commercial spot to market the show. The music, I was not satisfied with it but thats what the committee wanted me to use so I gotta please the clients. Have a look and critique it. Kalaikal 2009 Commercial on Vimeo Thank you |
