XH A1 downconvert to 16:9 SD at DVinfo.net

Shot my first footage with the A1 today and am having trouble getting it to downconvert the video.

I shot in Auto mode today, to try it out. I shot at 1080i/60i. I'm trying to send the clips to iMovieHD.

When I connect via Firewire and turn on the camera. I go to the Signal Setup menu to select my HD Downconvert menu. The HD Down menu displays ON for just a second or so, then it switches to a grayed out menu item.

Anybody out there know more about this than I do?

Set the downconvert option first, then connect via FireWire. That should do it.

I think that's got it working. I'm uploading video to my Mac right now. I appreciate the help.
