On line registration?
Hey, Chris--I did my on line registration and Canon owner's club, but I haven't heard a thing back. No email confirmation or anything. Is that normal?

Others might have had a different experience, but my understanding is that confirmation can take weeks if it happens at all. I think you're in their system fairly quickly, but they're not in any real rush to let you know.

If you want to be sure, do check with Canon.
Even after doing the online Owner's Club registration AND having personal email exchanges in Dec '05 and Jan '06 because the online form didn't work right, only 1 of my 3 XL cameras (2 XL H1's and an XL2) were in their system recently when I got the H1 firmware upgrade.

How do you go about checking with Canon? Same place as the online registration?

Call 1-800-OK-CANON and get to a live human being. That's probably the best way.

Thanks, but I already got an amazingly quick response. I went to the on line spot and under support sent a message saying I wanted to be sure I was registered. I got email back within about an hour confirming it.
