A1 in SD vs. XL2?
Hi, anyone have any info and comparisons of the A1 in SD compared to the XL2? The XL2 is a fine SD camera, but I'm wondering if even in this configuration it may have been slightly surpassed by the "latest and greatest" from Canon.
Also, any opinions on how an XL2 fitted with a LetusXL adapter (attaches directly to the camera body, bypassing the need for the stock 20x lens) fitted with Canon/Nikon lenses might do up against the A1 in HD, and then using something like InstantHD to upconvert the footage? Thanks for any info. I'm thinking of going this route, and then just adding the XL-H1 when I can afford it (been sidelined with a bum knee for awhile now and am getting back into it again). |

From one bad knee to another: sorry to hear about that. I know firsthand how painful that can be!
The general consensus is that HD downconverted to SD will look better than native SD. And I think it's a bit of a stretch to expect any upconverted SD to look as good as native HD. That seems to be the prevailing opinion around here. |
