HDV downconvert to SD Via firewire
I just shot some clips in HDV and I need to convert them to SD through firewire but the menu settings on the cam to downconvert are blacked out.
Any suggestions? I need to downconvert incam because I shot in 24f and final cut epress doesn't support 24f hd. Is there any conversion software to down convert hd 24f to sd 24f? |

I can get it to work in regular mode 60i but for 24f downconversion to 16:9 sd it is greyed out. I think it may be a software problem not being able to support the format.

Do you have Final Cut Express HD, 3.5.1, the latest update?

I found that what I needed to do was to change the 24f sd setting to 2:3:3:2 instead of 2:3 and it works.
