Proud Papa
I just got my new gear all connected and I snapped this photo.
Canon A1/Cartoni Focus 101 The Cartoni is amazing and smooth with th A1. The A1 is a brick. It is very dense. Just got it today and already shooting a gig on Sunday. I will be doing some long study these next two days. Medium Shot http://www.flickr.com/photos/lucido/...n/photostream/ Close Shot http://www.flickr.com/photos/lucido/288063650/

Looking good! Nice black on black color scheme going there. But it's missing something important... a remote lens controller on the tripod pan handle!

Thanks Chris. Yeah, I am still debating between the Canon ZR-2000 and a Varizoom.

I'd be interested in hearing more about that Cartoni. I've never actually seen one in the flesh. Looks pretty nice. What's the weight range?

It is incredibly smooth on the A1. I was able to balance it in minutes and it is a thing of beauty. I can't even begin to tell you how much better it is then the Bogen 503 I had. Night and day.
