Size Comparison Pics: XH with XL

Hopefully these snapshots will give you an idea of how an XH sizes up next to an XL (click to enlarge).

The Z1 is about the same size as this Canon A1?

Keep in mind the accsessory shoe though... also, a CH910 on the back of the XL makes it a lot longer... so I would say over all, with lens hoods off, and accsessory shoe not mount on XL, you are saving about 3" in length, about 2" in height

Overall though, it is far less "ungainly" than the XL... no stickyouty EVF or Mic...

That LCD design is pretty weird, though. And I do wish the EVF were a little bigger. I wonder if they'll make varying size eye cups so you can really get a good view...

Yes. The Sony Z1 is just about the exact same size.

Man... I thought this thread was going to be comparison pics FROM the two. Any chance you could work up some of those?

Sorry about that Barry; I've re-titled the thread topic to make it more clear. This was in a hotel meeting room which was not the ideal place to shoot video; besides I had maybe one minute just to get these photos. Since the XH and XL cams share the exact same CCD block and DSP, there should be no appreciable difference in image quality anyway.
