A1/G1 do they shoot SD as well? at DVinfo.net

I know the HVX shoots SD as well as HD. But I cannot seem to find any information on whether the A1/G1 will do this as well. Anyone?

Yes they will shoot SD 60i, 30f, & 24f, just like their big brother the XLH1.

Some folks might get confused about this since there isn't an HD / SD 16:9 / SD 4:3 mode select dial on the camera body like there is on the XL H1. These choices are selected in the Signal Setup menu instead. Same thing for frame rates.

Thanks for making this clear. I don't remember anything about this from their site either. Maybe in the specs, but not in the features. Good to know...time to sell my XL2. :-)

Thanks, guys. Not that I hadn't planned on buying an A1 anyway, but this makes it a slam dunk for certain. Might be selling off the XL2, myself. The beauty of that is I can sell the XL2 and the 3x and maybe come close to having most of the money. Maybe.
