well, here's my one questtion. Well, one of my questions.

The mic is built in, no prob, you can use an exernal shogtgun or whatever, soo if you mount one in the niffty mic holder there, does it use up one of the xlrs? Now i know the awnser already, but just double checking, and will and exteral wiire running around the cam be a bit annoying?

Yes, when you use an external mono mic in that mic clamp, that will take up one of the XLR inputs. The cable dressing should not be an issue; that's just a housekeeping thing. See the fifth image down on this page:

By the way, that mic clamp can be removed if desired.
