Standard Definition DV also?
Is the XH A1 capable of shooting in standard def like the sony Z1U? Or would I have to buy the XH G1 to still shoot in standard and deliver in standard def?
Thanks! |

Hi Darin,
Both the XH G1 and XH A1 will record in standard definition DV at your choice of either 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios. Many people who are familar with the Canon XL H1 are aware that on that camcorder there are mode select switches on the camera body for choosing HD, 16:9 SD or 4:3 SD and for choosing 60i, 30F and 24F. No such switches on the G1 and A1; instead, these choices appear in the Signal Setup menu. Hope this helps, |

Yup, all HDV cameras so far, including these, also shoot miniDV.
