how to replace firewire port
Happy Holidays y'all,
So the firewire port got bent on my XHA1s and I need to replace it which according to Canon is a "jack PCB assembly" (I'm surprised it's only $31 plus $6 shipping)....this is a card for the firewire port, headphone jack etc. Has anyone attempted this before and/or have advice on the subject? Thanks very much, Randy |

Re: how to replace firewire port
Fixed it yet: if not, once you get the parts take it along to a local camera repair shop.
Cheers.

Re: how to replace firewire port
Thanks Allan, good advice ...I started doing it, chickened out and took it and all the screws I had removed to a shop...they only charged me $40 and it works great now.
Thanks again, Randy |
