Problem getting iMac to recognise XHA1s
Hi all,
Bit of a strange issue I just can't work out... My iMac used to recognise my XHA1s through FireWire lead, but after a couple of months of not doing any video work it's all of a sudden started playing up... If I connect the camera to the iMac (FCPX) it just doesn't recognise the camera and the HDV/DV IN flashes on the camera. However, I then connect it via PC instead which works fine, and then when I go back to trying the imac straight after it works no problem! Any ideas? My iMac is the 27 inch version with latest OS installed. Thanks :) |

Re: Problem getting iMac to recognise XHA1s
A quick note for anyone who comes across this post and is having the same problem...
I have DOWN CONV set to OFF but the problem seem to be with the PLAYBACK STD. If you plug in your Firewire lead and HDV/DV just flashes on the camera, try going into the settings area and changing the PLAYBACK to DV and then back to HDV with the cable in. Seem to work for me... |
