Sync'ing two G1s with Genlock in 24F

Has anyone successfully sync'd two XH G1 in 24F mode? I am looking for perfect shutter synchronization as required for 3-D. I have accomplished this in 30F mode for years with no issues. However, I recently attempted the same in 24F and am unable to achieve shutter sync. I have tried, as in 30F mode, using one camera as the genlock source, or fed both cameras with an external analog black burst, from a Horita and Deneke unit. I have tried every possible combination of genlock feed as well as timecode (from camera and external) and every combination works in 30F yet all fail in 24F. Anyone have any ideas or a working procedure? Thanks.
