Capture NTSC DV on PAL version of XH G1?
I've got some old (8 years) NTSC DV tapes that I was thinking of digitizing. Is it possible to use a PAL version of the Canon XH G1 to capture? I've tried but I get the "Incorrect tape specification, playback is restricted" error message from the camera. Settings in the playback settings menu are set to: Playback STD - DV.
I'm a DSLR shooter these days and it's just been so long since I've had to deal with NTSC/PAL issues - and especially DV for that matter - that I'm just not sure what works and what doesn't anymore. Thoughts? Thanks for the help in advance. /CB |

Chris you need an NTSC machine, try renting one or having a shop do it.
Cheers.
