Magnify
What does the camera do in order to magnify? I am talking of the magnify button on the A1s. Does it digitally zoom? Just seems like it is good quality still, even when looking through the viewfinder. Thanks for the help!

It magnifies a portion of the view so that you can check focus. It has no effect on what you actually film, and the view soon returns to normal.

Really?
I can record with the magnify on, and it translates to tape!! Just wondering how it does it? I assume digitally blowing up the pixels, but the picture still looks good.

Apologies. I was assuming the A1s was the same as the A1 for the magnify button, and that is what it says in the manual - except that it also says you have to press the button a second time to turn the effect off.
