Doing this for the first time/help !!
By neccessity & circumstances I need to "capture" ( is that the right word in this case?) or otherwise sucessfully transfer the entire contents from a Final Cut Pro line sequence direct to mini-dv tape on an A1. Normally I do this all the time on my GL-2 with no problems but for some reason or the other it quit working with that unit and stayed that way!
So the A1 is my next best option. The footage is 100% SD. Now for the "dumb" question but I'm going to ask it anyway.............. How do I set-up/prepare the A1 so that it will receive the incoming AV data from the FCP line sequence with no complications smoothly to tape? Do I need to change any of the settings or parameters and if so what would they be? Any pointers or advice would be welcomed. Who knows.....Maybe I'm worrying for nothing. Time will tell! Thanks |

Hi Bruce..............
Nothing to it.
Dive into the menu's (in VCR mode) and go to [Signal Setup], [Playback STD] set it to AUTO or DV. Then dive into [HD Down - Conv] and set it to OFF. That's pretty much it. Plug it into the PC and away you go. CS |
