Recording directly to disk

second that, although I bought the FS-5 .. cheaper than the canon model and some features that I don't think were updated into the CV .. misses some of the frame rates, but for 60i works fine including camera control of recording on the FS from the XHA1 (not s).

I've never used it myself but doesn't the Canon Console allow you to record direct from the camera to the computer?
