No Standby / Lock switch on XHA1s?
On the XHA1 there is a Standby / Lock switch but not on my XHA1s.
The lock is supposed to allow the manual settings to be saved if you turn off the camera. What about on the A1s? |

It was removed, probably due to all of the "why is my camera
locked up?" panic attacks posted here over the life of the XH A1. |

I had one of those panic attack myself. But I have to say say this switch is one of my favorite features on the A1 , use it all the time. Sorry to read they have take it of the new A1s.

Just to clarify, the A1s does keep all manual settings when the camera is turned off, even when the battery is removed. Startup from the off switch is also pretty quick (A lot quicker then the XL2 was anyways).

But if you use the A1/s for only short periods and/or remove its battery to store the cam, the internal lithium battery will slowly discharge and you lose your settings. Cheers.
