xh a1 with fcp

hallo to everybody
this is my first topic in this forum.
i m an owner of a xha1.
i hope someone can help me. im trying to import sd footage from the camera to fcp. is anyone knows what the wright set up is for this case.
the video is in sd but wide screen.

Welcome to the forum, you should set up the capture preset to match the footage. Are you shoot PAL or NTSC SD?

im shooting in pal. the easy set up which preset has to be? im importing through firewire.

In FCP, go to menu at the top and click on ‘Final Cut Pro’ then Easy setup.
In the dialog box for Format ‘Pal’ then Rate ‘25 Fps’ and finally use ‘DV-pal anamorphic’
Save and close FCP. Switch on XH A1 go to menu and in signal setup make sure Playback STD -DV is selected. Switch off camera.
Insert Firewire cable into Mac and camera. Switch on camera and open FCP, FCP should recognise the firewire cable and recognise your device, in your case your Canon camera and open up.
