So that's why I never see those ND warnings. After unpacking my A1 2 years ago the first thing I did was turning AGC off and it is never been on since.

I always have AGC turned off, and I normally shoot in Tv mode with Exposure Lock. I'm aware of diffaction issues with small apertures, so always try to look out for that. My problem is not with image softness, it is that sometimes I get noise in the image when shooting under the hot sun. As I said, I think it might be related to the sensor temperature but have not looked further into it yet.
