PQ63US Panasonic mini DV too many dropouts!!!

I've been using the PQ's for a while and 1 tape of 3 gets at least one drop, very bad quality.

Give me your thoughts guys, has anyone experienced anything like that with the same model tape.?

Arthur.

I and another guy used AMQs in 2 XHA1's and had serious dropout problems. I switched to the much more expensive Sony PHDVM Digital Mastering tapes and haven't seen a dropout since. He is using the cheaper Sonys also with no dropouts so far. I know another producer shooting with Sony cheaper tapes and they have no trouble either. They shoot hundreds more than I do.

I've been using Panasonic AY-DVM63HD tapes for about a year (about $20 for a 3 pack) an haven't had any drop-out problems.

I use the AY-DVM63PQUS. I have used about 3 boxes since getting the camera about six months ago. No dropouts or issues.
