uploading HD footage with XHA1 as a deck

I'm doing my first HD project. I'm using Sony Vegas to capture. Vegas can find the camera when I upload SD but when I try to upload HD it can never find the camera. Is there something I have to change in the menu's to upload HD footage? Any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

For HD capture you need to use the internal capture utility of Vegas. Not the external Vidcap60.exe.

Kees,

I have vers 7.0 and I capture HD footage just fine using vidcap60. Could you please explain version and the "internal utility" I was not aware of an internal utility(unless it is on newer versions. Thanks in advance.

Ben I believe that there was a problem capturing HDV with 8.0. People were capturing in 7 and editing 8.0. But This has been corrected in an update. (8.1c I think) You should find some info in the Vegas area.(I saw you posted there)
