Lol. Yeah I actually just finished my little letter describing the issue and mentioned that I had never had any focus issues before sending it in. Now I am just patiently waiting for my box to get here. Hopefully tomorrow. My original box was lost during my move from KC back to Austin.

It's called "Hunting"
The issue i have with the autofocus is termed "Hunting" for focus...I didn't know that...
I took it into a Canon certified repair shop about an hour's drive away.. I HATE the traffic in Toronto!!! I asked for as many tests as possible, and am crossing my fingers that the shop does a thorough and proper inspection.. The last wedding i did was totally manual focus..It was a pain in the arse!!! I'll keep you posted. |

Fixed!!!
After a few weeks, the repair department told me that the optical unit needed repairing.
They also did a focus adjustment (i'm assuming back focus)... Voila! The hunting has stopped, and i'm happy again. Thanx everyone. |
