Letterbox while recording?
Hey,
I have a lcd tv, that isn't widescreen. I want to use it as a monitor. I can watch what I've recorded in letterbox, via vcr/playback mode>menu>signal setup>letterbox-On I want to be able to have letterbox on while recording. Is there a function like that? Thanks, Kevin

Does your TV have a 16x9 button? Some do.

You can't be in playback mode while recording. I think all you get is a 16:9 image through the BNC output if you're shooting HDV. If your LCD TV isn't a professional monitor, it won't do you a lot of good in terms of judging quality. If you just need to see focus, you can do that watching the distorted image.
