Shooting In PAL

Hey there...

Someone asked me to shoot a wedding, however the clients are from Europe and need it to be shot in PAL. Is there a way to change from NTSC to PAL on the A1? I checked the manual but could not find anything on it there.

Thanks

Hi Daniel........

If this is going to DVD, don't do it, period.

All PAL DVD players, most VHS players and pretty well all TV's can handle all flavours of NTSC straight out of the box.

The dual NTSC - PAL upgrade for an A1 is a $500 return to Canon mod. Hardly worth it for an NTSC shooter because of the above.

Makes sense for a PAL shooter feeding the NTSC market as practically no NTSC equipment can read PAL.
