Canon HDV Tapes, Wet or dry?

I am wondering if the canon HDV tapes are wet or dry tapes?

any imput is greatly apreciated

Nick I don't think that anybody knows the answer to that question I ask canon a couple of years ago they would not say.

mine always seem quite dry when I buy them :-)

What is a wet / dry tape?
