Cleaning Heads- What Brand?

Hey all...

I use only the same Sony tapes when recording with my A1. Now everyone says you should stick to one type of tape and not not switch brands, so when I clean the heads, since I use only Sony tapes, should I use a head cleaner that is made by Sony or is it OK to use one by made be a different company?

Hi Daniel,

For 8 years I cleaned my Sony cameras' heads every 3 or 4 weddings with a Sony head cleaner. I never had any problems, so when I switched to Canon I went looking for a Canon cleaning cassette and had a really hard finding them. I ended up going with Panasonic head cleaners. I haven't used them yet, so I'm looking for anyone else's opinion about this too...

I don't think it makes any difference. Generally I use a Sony head cleaning tape because they're readily available.
