XH A1 Firewire/FCP6 issue
I recently bought an XH A1. I am trying to import to a new iMac with 10.5.4 on it. I want to import into Final Cut Pro 6.0.4. Final Cut will not recognize the camera.
I recorded in HDV. I have gone to the VCR/Playback Signal Setup and set Playback STD to HDV and set HD Down-Conv to OFF. However, when I plug in the Firewire cord, those two options grey out and read - - - . I cannot change them while the Firewire is plugged in. iMovie HD recognizes the camera, but because I recorded in 24f, I cannot use iMovie to import. System Profiler recognizes the XH A1. Why won't Final Cut Pro recognize the camera?? Is there a setting in FCP I need to change? Please help... |

haha, answered your own question.
i just wanted to also point out that the fcp manual has it all in there. 500 plus pages of excellent knowledge for the app. i suggest taking the time to skim through in detail as it gives you some great technical info. dan |
