Problem with capture, please help!
I just picked up a Canon two days ago, I've recorded footage and now I'm trying to capture the footage. The problem is the display indicators that I was using while recording are showing up in the footage when I play back . Did I record these in to the tape and can't remove it or is there some sort of setting I'm overlooking?

dang it, I reset the camera and the recorded some stuff and the problem went away, but all the footage I shot yesterday is useless because the indicators where recorded to tape. :(. Atleast I didn't charge anybody....
Time to read the manual... |

Yup. Character recording was set to "ON" in the menu. There's nothing you can do to rescue your footage.
Why is it that "we" never read manuals beforehand? LOL It is off by default so when you reset the camera it cleared that setting. Dang it! |
